Dr. Miller’s specialty interests include the exciting new world of refractive surgery, but diabetic eye disease, cataract and glaucoma surgery still play an important role in our office.
We have performed literally tens of thousands of eye surgeries, including Laser Vision Correction since 1995. The “LASIK in Davis!” facility was opened in 1999, and we have performed our refractive surgery locally ever since. We are proud to be amongst the first in Northern California to have offered “Custom LASIK” to our options of refractive correction. In 2005, Dr. Miller became one of the first certified Verisyse surgeons in Northern California. Verisyse implants allow correction of the extremely nearsighted patient, previously not treatable with LASIK. 
He also introduced the crystalens accommodating lens, an intraocular lens for both distance and close work. Other premium intraocular lens (IOL) options are also offered, such as the ReSTOR , Tecnis Multifocal, and Acrysof Toric lenses.
In 2007, Dr. Miller was the first surgeon in the Sacramento area to adopt the IntraLASIK technique, using a femtosecond laser to make LASIK a safer, more predictable procedure. We now perform 100% “blade-free” LASIK!
